About the Recipe
Our friend Nate is a great and inventive cocktail maker - when we visited him in London he would whip up wildly original creations based on the fruit and alcohol that was at hand ... he now lives in the Berkshires in Massachusetts and we visited him during our year long break the cocktails were still delicious... you will need to buy some blackberry liqueur for this one!
Ingredients
This is really a gin sour with blackberries
Gin,
lemon juice,
sugar syrup,
ice cubes,
crushed ice,
creme de mure,
lemon slices
blackberries
Preparation
Mix lemon juice and gin (ratio 2 parts gin to 1 part lemon juice) and a splash of sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker with a good handful of ice cubes.
Strain into a glss full of crushed ice,
Drizzle creme de mure so it bleeds into the drink (think a classy Tequila sunrise)
Garnish with lemon and blackberry,
Drink
Repeat ...
If you are feeling a little festive add some bubbles to the crushed ice before you pour the cocktain mix for a Bramble Royale!
